"I was reluctant to order these, as Rockport has a history of not standing behind its craftsmanship (or lack thereof). But as these were being sold via a 1/3 party, Shoebacca, and at a substantial discount, I took the plunge. As such, I'm pleased with how the (genuine) leather upper has been mounted onto the sole, and the latter has a far more durable look than Sperrys I own. That said, the stitching of the upper along the top of the shoe is not as tight as those aforementioned Sperrys, so (setting aside the well-made soles, I have some doubts about durability. Also, traces of glue on the elastic that connects the tongue to the body of the shoe seems mildly suspect. But also provides a good hint that a tube of Shoe Goo will probably come in handy at some point."
