"I bought the high top trailcross for ankle protection after scraping up my ankles and legs slipping off the pedals wearing normal shoes. Haven't slipped off the pedals yet so I would have been fine with the low top version, but its nice to know the protection is there. These are wide enough for my feet while still fitting snug. I love the looks including the navy colored mesh that another reviewer noted. Highly recommend."
