Social Media & Influencer Marketing Manager
This exciting social media and influencer management role will focus heavily on increasing brand awareness for Shoebacca and our products and generating inbound traffic through the effective use of social media outlets and corresponding web-based platforms.
This role coordinates with the internal marketing & merchandising teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong revenue driven social media presence that stands out in the market. In addition to social media, the manager will vet and coordinate qualified influencers to promote Shoebacca and our core products.
The ideal candidate will be a digitally savvy, self-starter who is passionate about content creation (specifically video and reels), social media, and marketing. The Social Media manager will be responsible to push engagement by creating compelling original, high-quality content for each individual platform with the highest level of frequency and optimization. The candidate must have strong writing abilities and understand the impact and execution of traditional and influencer marketing as well as digital media technologies.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a core social media strategy designed to generate revenue and build brand awareness for the company by utilizing platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube Pinterest & TikTok.
- Become an advocate and brand ambassador for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues, monitoring activity, and answering questions where appropriate
- Generate and optimize high quality digital content such as videos, reels, stories, interactive polls, stop motion, infographics, engaging posts and more using in house photography and vendor imagery
- Collaborate with merchandising team to identify needs, opportunities, promotions, and trends to promote through social media
- Host on and off-site shopping events utilizing social media networks
- Collaborate with the company’s digital marketing agency to support and amplify paid social media placements and ads
- Assist the overall marketing department with photography, data collection, proposals, analytics, affiliate marketing channels as well as other various marketing related tasks.
- Regularly analyze, review and report on the effectiveness of social media campaigns to maximize results and provide feedback and insights designed to help evolve brand strategies.
- Monitor trends in social media tools, tactics, trends and applications
- Cultivate and execute upon a comprehensive influencer marketing strategy to drive awareness, website traffic and conversions
- Monitor and Coordinate influencer activity and measure results
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Advertising, Marketing, Social Media, Communications or related field
- 2 years in a social media, public relations, journalism, corporate communications, or related role
- 2+ years of retail experience and corporate experience preferred but not required
- Fluency and working knowledge in all social channels, to include, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter & TikTok
- Experience with managing a company's social media presence using social media management tools such at HootSuite, Bazaarvoice, Sprout Social and other related digital web applications
- Ability to generate creative media using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Envato or other related tools
- Excellent creative writing and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management and planning skills
- Knowledge of current trends in the social media world
- Passion for content creation, social media and exceeding expectations beyond the standard required social media practices
