The Black Fives Foundation works to research, preserve, showcase and share the vital pre-1950 history of African American basketball teams – the "Black Fives Era". A celebration of black community and black culture, this collection was inspired by the all-black basketball games that were held in ballrooms when the players weren’t allowed in white gyms. Its unique design pays homage to the pioneers and descendants of this movement. The black mesh upper comes alive through pops of colour, which tie in with looks from PUMA's BLACK FIVES clothing collection.
