Pretty boots -- a little wide for me but I have really skinny calves
May 23rd, 2013
These are pretty boots. The leather is not real thick so the boots don't hold their shape (they just fold over) when standing them up unless you use some kind of boot tree. Also, since the leather is not real thick, the boots bunch up somewhat around my ankles. Perhaps if my calves were just a tad wider the boots would stand up more and not sag around my ankles. (My calves are really skinny -- 13 inches circumference at the widest part with jeans on.) The boots are also a little loose around the heel. I think if I used thicker socks or put some kind of insert around the heels, they wouldn't slip as much when walking. I usually wear size 5.5 medium shoes but sometimes fit into size 6. I bought a size 6 B (medium width) in these. Perhaps a size 5.5 would fit differently, but that size was not available. I'll probably keep the boots anyway since they're pretty. Plus it's hard to find anything that's narrow enough for my scrawny calves.
