A note from the President of the Lions Athletic Booster Club:

On behalf of the Lions Athletic Booster Club and the San Diego Jewish Academy, I would like to thank you for your support and sponsorship of the SDJA 5K Turkey Trot Fun Run/walk. Your involvement contributed to a very successful second year for the event.

On Thanksgiving morning, participants were greeted with a cool, damp, morning with skies that threatened to downpour. As registration was in full swing, a “double rainbow” covered the sky. The start was delayed several minutes to accommodate the tremendous “day of” turnout. As the costumed Turkey and Lion set out on the course, close to three hundred participants took off in fast pursuit. Families, friends, students, athletes, alumni and community members joined in the 5k event….

…With your support, the Turkey Trot benefits the SDJA Athletic Program and the JFS “Hand Up” Youth Food Pantry. This year’s event donated over 400 pounds of food and net $7000. We are grateful for your support as a sponsor and a community partner, in making this year’s event a success.
