Speaking with Kevin Krueger, team captain for the Team SHOEBACCA road bike club, you can hear the excitement and intensity that represents the hard work and tenacity that it takes to be a part of this team. The Team SHOEBACCA road bike club doesn't participate in as many competitive events as their mountain biking counterparts, but they actively ride every weekend, training and having fun. Their big ride happens every Superbowl weekend, when a large and continually growing group of riders trek from San Jose down to Orange County, CA along the coastline. This annual event is a four-day ride through some of the most beautiful, scenic areas California has to offer. This year, 20-30 riders are expected to participate.

From the entry level cyclist to the Master's category rider, Team SHOEBACCA is all about enjoying the passion that is cycling. Recently, Team SHOEBACCA was in Tucson, AZ for El Tour de Tucson, a century event that brings cyclists of all ages and skill levels together for a common cause. This ride benefits a number of charitable organizations, while providing a fun atmosphere for the amateur and professional cyclist alike. A century event means that this is a 100-mile ride, with police escort. There was over 9,000 people in attendance for this event, and Team SHOEBACCA was on hand to represent!
