Wake -- the trail of moving current left behind a moving vessel

Waterline -- a mark indicating the level to which a boat should sink when at sea

Way -- the direction of a vessel’s path through water

Windward -- heading into the wind, the opposite of “Leeward”

Yacht -- a large luxury vessel used for noncommercial purposes

Yaw -- to deviate temporarily from the course
