Inboard -- located in the boat’s interior, or a motor in this area

Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) -- A system of interconnected bays, inlets, salt-water rivers, and man-made canals spanning the length of the U.S. Eastern Seaboard from New Jersey to Texas, so that travelers can avoid the open ocean
 
Jacob’s Ladder -- a rope ladder extended from the deck of a ship for when passenger’s climb aboard
 
Jetty -- a protective stone or brick structure built to deflect the current from a harbor
 
Keel -- a boat’s spine, the centerline running from stem to stern

Knot -- a nautical speed measurement equaling approximately 1.15 miles per hour on land, or one “Nautical Mile” or a securing loop in a rope or line.
