Dream Team
The media coined the term dream team to describe the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team that won a gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. This was the first year in which professional players were allowed to represent their countries in the Olympic games. This clearly gave the U.S. an advantage in the games, with a whopping 117-85 win over Croatia in the gold medal game.
This was arguably one of the most talented line-ups in any sport. The dream team's roster read like a who's who of modern NBA greats. It consisted of Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Scottie Pippen, Chris Mullin, Clyde Drexler, John Stockton, and (college, and later NBA, stand-out) Christian Laettner.
The term dream team has been used to describe other teams but none epitomized the phrase like that one. That team may have done more for basketball on the International level than anything else.
Check out SHOEBACCA.com for your hi-top basketball shoe needs. Hi-top basketball shoes provide much more ankle support than low-top basketball shoes. Basketball can be hard on a player's ankles, with the jumping, sliding, and acrobatic footwork required. Have your ankles ever ached after a game of basketball? Imagine reducing that ache, or even eliminating it entirely. That’s the benefit of hi-top basketball shoes.
If you love to play basketball, and play several hours a day, every day, then hi-top basketball shoes are your best choice. They reduce the stress of the game, keeping your ankles sturdy and reducing the risk of injury from twisted ankles. Wearing hi-top basketball shoes allows you to enjoy the game longer, and continue playing the game when other shoes would cause painful inflammation. Why limit the time you spend playing a game you enjoy? Shop SHOEBACCA.com for hi-top basketball shoes and you can continue to play as long as you like, safely and comfortably!
