Alternating - Possession Rule After each jump ball under college rules, the possession arrow switches direction, changing which team has the ball for the throw in.

Assist The pass to a teammate which leads immediately to a basket. To qualify as an assist, the scorer must head directly toward the goal after receiving the pass. Each score can only have one assist credited to it.
