Sneaker

A sneaker is another term for a casual athletic shoe with a rubber sole. Sneakers often have canvas or leather uppers and shoelaces or Velcro closures. Sneakers are everyday shoes that are especially popular with children and teenagers who wear them daily to school and during other activities. Sneakers can be bought in a variety of colors to match any outfit or clothing style. Sneakers can be bought from shoe brands such as:

Sneakers are not meant for excessive athletic wear because they do not offer the specialized support that a foot needs for continuous impact. Sneakers are, however, good for walking and other daily activities. As an example, some styles from Nike are very casual while other designers like Tommy Hilfiger make sneakers with more of a dressy style. These dressier styled sneakers can be worn with skirts, dresses and other items other than just jeans.
