Predator

The term Predator refers to the thin, lightweight elements placed at the "sweet spot" and toe area to improve the comfort in the ball area of the foot. These elements also increase shooting power in some adidas footwear. The adidas Predator is a shoe constructed for soccer and is meant to increase the power, swerve and accuracy when kicking a soccer ball. The shoe features rubber patches or strips on the upper, which allows the kicker to add spin to the ball while passing or kicking. The Predator shoe was launched in 1994 and has quickly become a staple in the soccer arena.
