Polyvinyl chloride

Polyvinyl chloride or PVC is a plastic material used to add extra support in heel counters and outsoles. PVC is a very durable plastic material, perfect for use as both a heel counter and as an outsole. The material itself will help to stabilize the heel, so that it will not excessively rotate within the shoe itself. PVC is useful as an outsole material due to its durability and flexibility. It enables a longer lasting shoe with the capability to provide an adequate barrier between the sole of the foot and the ground.
