You're currently on:PhylonPhylon is the Nike brand's lightweight foam made of ethylene vinyl acetate that is used in the construction of a midsole. Advantages are that it is lighter and more flexible than other midsole foams and provides very resilient cushioning. Phylon is responsive to the movement of the foot because of the ethylene vinyl acetate foam pellets that are compressed, heat expanded and then cooled in a mold before being placed within the midsole. Compression-molded Phylon midsoles can be sculpted into a variety of designs, and are easily identified by their fine wrinkles. |
