Pebax
The term Pebax refers to the plasticizer by the name polyether block amide which offers flexibility, comfort and high performance when used to construct an athletic shoe. Pebax is the lightest thermoplastic for shoes and is ideal for the construction of outsoles because it is resistant to repeated stress, distortion and deformation. Pebax offers a low density that allows for the design of the lighter parts. The Pebax material is perfect for the outsoles of athletic shoes due to the low density and flexibility it offers.
