Oversupination

Oversupination is an extremely rare condition in which the foot strikes on the outer edge of the foot and continues to roll outward during the running movement instead of rolling inwards. Oversupination causes the sole to roll inwards, the toes to point away from you and then point across the body. Oversupination is very rare but serious in the fact that it prevents the individual from providing adequate shock absorption. Oversupination can cause shin splints, ankle sprains and stress fractures. If the inside edge of the sole is worn in particular, then it is likely that the wearer tends to oversupinate.
