The main distinction between a mule and other styles of shoes is that it is backless and has material (not a strap) covering the forefoot. Mules are predominately a women's shoe although there are some casual styled men's mules as well. Men's mules have more of a slipper style for casual wear or wear inside of the house. They can be made of leather and are more of a slip-on than a mule. Mules come in a variety of styles so they can be paired with either casual or dressy outfits. Mules can be worn with bare feet or with stockings. More casual styled mules could be paired with socks for comfort, but it is tacky for the socks to show so you should wear long pants. Mules can be worn all year long and can be bought to tailor to your individual tastes. |
