Motion control

The term motion control is used to describe the feature found in an athletic shoe that controls the inward rolling or pronation of the foot. Motion control features are especially important for those indidvidual who are prone to pronation because the features may help to reduce injury caused by the inward or outward rolling of the foot. Motion control shoes focus on maintaining stability in the foot by including additional devices within the shoe's construction. Motion control is achieved by the placement of additional devices that control rearfoot motion and support the medial side of the foot.
