Low Heel - Low Heels

A shoe is considered to be a low heel if the heel measures a height of two and a half inches or less. Low heels typically refer to women’s shoes and can be found in a wide array of styles such as:

  • Mules
  • Closed toe
  • Sandals
  • Thongs
  • Open toe
  • Espadrilles

Low heels do not refer to the style of footwear only to the height of the heel itself. Low heels can be worn with any type of clothing and are especially good for those people who find high heels uncomfortable. Low heels are more practical because they can be worn with all clothing items as high heels, yet they allow the wearer to be more comfortable. High heels can cause back pain, knee pain, blisters and the tiring of the feet due to the sharp angle under which the foot is placed. Low heels are as dressy as the high ones and minimize all ailments and complaints. The shape of the heel itself can be:

  • Stiletto
  • Wedge
  • Round
  • Square

Low heels are great when you anticipate doing a lot of walking and yet flats are inappropriate for the occasion. Low heels can even “dress up” an otherwise casual outfit so they are a great choice for any occasion. As mentioned before, the term low heel refers to the heel’s height, not the style of the foot so there is great diversity in the decoration of the shoe. Low heels can be found with rhinestones, in bright colors, in neutral colors, made out of leather and even with ankle straps.
