The Internal Support System or ISS is the New Balance brands' construction in the internal upper of the shoe that stabilizes the midfoot for support. The Internal Support System adds fit in the midfoot so it is better able to stabilize the rest of the foot. The Internal Support System can be found as a part of the construction of many of New Balance shoes used for a variety of different functions.
