The Gel Cell is the term for the Carolina brand non-memory polymer gel that reduces the amount of stress put on the heel during the foot strike. Because the Gel Cell minimizes the stress on the heel caused by the force of impact, there is no need for the placement of removable comfort insert insoles. The Gel Cell strives to include the additional comfort of removable insoles within the Carolina factory shoe, so that the shoe fits the right way the first time.
