Footbridge

A footbridge is the Nike device that when inserted between the upper and midsole of the shoe slows the rate at which the foot rolls inward, which in turn slows the rate of wear on the outsole. Excessive pronation will cause the outsole to wear faster on certain areas because the foot consistently causes that portion of the outsole to come in contact with the ground. The footbridge works with the other pronation control elements with the shoe's construction to reduce the rate at which the foot rolls inwards or outwards.
