Encap

The term Encap describes the cushioning core of ethylene vinyl acetate, which when encapsulated in a polyurethane shell adds stability and disperses the shock of impact throughout the foot in the New Balance shoe. The Encap technology is typically found in the midsole of the heel for cushioning and stability. The ability of the Encap to dissipate shock is exceptionally helpful because it enables the wearer to move comfortably for a longer period of time. The construction and use of the Encap midsole also lessens the shock of impact on the body.
