Cemented Construction

A cemented shoe construction is one in which the upper fabric of the shoe is attached to the sole by a light layer of cement rather than by stitching. This construction makes for a lighter and more flexible shoe. The cemented construction makes the entire constructed of the shoe more durable because the upper is less likely to detach from the sole when it is cemented. A light layer of cement is used so that the shoe doesn't become heavy and remains flexible.
