A board lasted shoe is a shoe construction that has a rigid insole board that runs the entire length of the shoe. In a board lasted shoe, the upper is attached to the bottom of a flexible board placed on top of the midsole. This type of shoe construction enables the shoe to be rigid making it appropriate for those individuals who tend to under or overpronate. Board lasted shoes are made for individuals who do not have a neutral styled gait.
