Blow Molding

Blow molding is the Nike brand process in which gas is injected through an external tube resulting in the molding of the plastic into a particular shape. This process is used in the making of air sole units and allows designers to make these units in creative shapes. Blow molding can be likened to using a helium tank to inflate a balloon. Blow molding allows the designers to shape the polyurethane capsules in the preferred shape and then carefully inflate them without disrupting the shape.
