Bellows Tongue

A bellows tongue is a specific kind of shoe tongue that is connected at both the top and sides of a shoe's upper. A bellows tongue is found most typically on men's dress shoes, although it can also be found on both men and women's athletic or casual shoes. The bellow tongue can be made out of any material including:

• Leather
• Mesh (offers maximum ventilation)
• Canvas

The advantage to buying a shoe with a bellows tongue is that because it fits right over the top of the foot it makes it easier for the foot to slide into the shoe.
