New Balance's Abzorb EX cushioning technology provides stability and comfort to the foot. The construction is visible in the soles because it is contained in a thermoplastic capsule. The Abzorb EX is a delicate blend of the original Abzorb cushioning foam with pressurized air, which has been sealed in the heat-resistant capsules. This technology is usually found within the heel, which decreases pronation thus escalating the stability of the foot. On the cushioning side, the Abzorb EX provides comfort for both the outside and inside edge of the shoe so that no part is unequally supported. The Abzorb technology is meant to provide maximum shock absorption, and the Abzorb EX is no exception.
