adiTUFF is a term used to describe the additional piece of leather or synthetic material that when placed on the shoe's upper provides additional durability. The adiTUFF is manufactured by adidas and is used on many of their shoes to extend their life. The adiTUFF technology is able to extend the life of the shoe due to additional piece of leather or synthetic material, which strengthens the bond of the upper to the outsole.
