JB Classics is a premier collectible footwear brand, with deep roots in street wear, fashion, action sports, design, art culture and entertainment. Labeled the punk band of the footwear industry, JB Classics was officially launched in San Francisco, CA during the winter of 2001. Founder Jason Bass had noticed a void in the footwear industry. The lack of personality and added details in current footwear encouraged him to start his journey. With a background as a visual artist and while finishing his graduate degree at the Academy of Arts in San Francisco the project began.

In late 2004, Mdot, while studying interior architecture & furniture design, decided to the take the leap. With a childhood saturated in international business, it only made sense for Mdot and JB to join forces & steer the brand from its ultra niche platform to the next layer. With that, the JB Classics Lab was formed.

The two plan on covering all the elements of the lifestyle. Rooted in design, JB Classics Lab pushes the limits with every collection. JB Classics Lab incorporates the comfort of an athletic sneaker with the aesthetic details of a luxury shoe. Mixing lux materials with their signature strong and vibrant color combinations creates a walking journal of travels and inspirations.

The founders are constantly employing the hands-on approach to everything that is produced and experienced, whether it be molding the ingredients that form a shoe or visiting the materials market to get an edge on ôwhatÆs newö market-wise. Reaching new heights year after year, the brand has been recognized globally as a lifestyle brand.

JB Classics Lab has participated in numerous collaborative projects with artists and players like Rickey Powell, Ride Snowboards, Beinghunted, DC Shoes, Ford Motors, DJ Funkmaster Flex, Kid Robot, and Sneaker Pimps. The JB X MOTUG featuring all 10 of the following artists on one pair of sneakers, produced 24 times. Artists include Futura, NYC Lase, Ewok, Ghost, Toofly, Shepard Fairey, Doze Green, TKID170, Dizmology, and CES.

In Winter 2006, JB Classics reached its five year mark and continues to enhance the layers. Aiming to be pioneers, inspiring the tastemakers, setting a higher standard, and shooting for advancement day after day, JB Classics Lab promises to bring it better and sicker every year!
