"Wyatt Bicycle Company designs simple and reliable bicycles together with unmatched customer service. Our philosophy is serving our customers how we would like to be served."
Wyatt Bicycle Co., LLC was founded by Wyatt Hrudka in June 2011. Wyatt has several years of experience as a bicycle mechanic and wanted to turn his passion into a career. As a bicycle mechanic at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, he has seen countless students with bicycles that were never shifting properly and always running into problems, so there only seemed to be one solution. This was to create a bicycle company that specializes in reliable, affordable, and appealing fixed gear and single speed bicycles. Single speed bicycles require minimal maintenance, which is perfect for city commuters and those who enjoy urban riding.
Wyatt fixed gear bicycles are made from super strong and lightweight 4130-chromoly steel and are specifically designed to withstand the rigors of urban riding. Our 100% chromoly frames and forks, along with wider Kenda tires, provide excellent shock absorption while riding through the city.
Fixed gear bicycles...
Fixed gear bikes, also known as fixies, townies, or track bikes, contain a single rear cog(sprocket) that is fixed to the rear hub. This means that in order to propel forward or backward, the pedals have to be moving, much like an indoor exercise bike. This allows the rider to feel as if the bike is part of them and not just something they are riding. Many cyclists say that they can’t explain the amazing feel of riding a fixed gear bike.
Wyatt Bicycles come standard with a rear flip-flop hub, which allows the rider to switch from both fixed gear and single speed. This means that if the rider does not prefer to ride fixed, they can ride single speed and have the option to pedal whenever they want. Single speed bikes are advantageous to geared bikes because they never skip gears and are very reliable.
Why fixed gear and single speed bicycles?
The answer is, simplicity. Wyatt bicycles are gearless and require minimal maintenance. By eliminating shifters and derailleurs from the bicycle, we can minimize our price and decrease mechanical issues.
Ride Simple. Ride Wyatt.
