Brand History

Sporting some of the world's greatest skateboarders in their lineup, it's no surprise that DVS Shoe Company is taking the world by storm. They use of classic skate style with their own twists on design as well as giving the endorsees an active part in the designing process gives DVS an edge over the competition.

Founded in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and Tim Gavin, DVS (pronounced like the word "devious") holds SoCal roots, being based in Torrance, CA. As all good brands do, DVS started cranking out performance based kicks for male skateboarders, but now that they have been able to pay the bills and create more and more gear, their lines have expanded to include women's, youth and toddler styles as well as moving from the skate-specific gear to sandals, slippers and fashion-based designs.

Once you've got the shoes, you need the gear, and DVS' success has allowed them to also create a line of street-smart clothing as well. In 2007, DVS expanded to create the "Luxe" line, which uses premium materials and unique designs to cater to a select crowd.

Ever expanding, DVS brings in new talent all the time, and team DVS has moved outward to include not only top-notch skaters but snowboarders, motorcross riders and surfers. Nothing but continued success seems to be on the horizon for this outstanding brand!

I absolutely love these shoes. I've been searching for something like these for a long time. I want to wear as little cushioning on my feet as possible to mimic being barefoot and these are excellent for that. They have removable inserts that provide a little cushioning, and under those it's just the rubber. No cushions, no excessive rubber, no crazy stuff meant to alter my stride. Just a flat, fl... Sandal is great looking and comfortable. It isn't like those $5 sandals you would see at Wal-Mart; these sandals actually have arch support. I have had them a couple months, and they are holding up okay, but I am a tad bit worried about the outside texture, it doesn't seem very durable.

I bought these shoes for their unique look, but they feel great as well. No joke, I use them on the treadmill; great support and feel. P.S. - Some guys will try to clown on the pink, but all the ladies love it.
