# Set/Stair - A # set/stair (pronounced as a number + "set/stair") refers to a set of stairs. Skaters frequently ollie or perform tricks off of stairs. Stairs can be hard to come by, as many are privately owned. A common usage is, "Let's go skate the 3-set."
3/4 Pipe - A half-pipe extended to the point where it resembles a full pipe with one quarter removed. It is not ridden the same way as a half-pipe is ridden.
360 Flip - A "Kickflip" with a 360 degree rotation combined with a "Shove
It."
5-0 - Grinding with only the rear truck on the rail. Also a slang reference to police.
50-50 - Grinding keeping both trucks on the rail.
Airfeet - Feet are completely off the board when a skater ollies something.
Air - To propel oneself into the air without popping the board. The act of performing an air is known as "catching air."
Backside - A rotation of the board in a direction putting the skater's back toward the turn's arc; not a trick, but a modifier of a trick,
"Backside 180," for example; the opposite of "Frontside."
Bail - The act of falling or jumping off your board.
Boardslide - Raising the board's front truck over an object such as a rail
or ledge, and sliding along it, also called a "Railslide"; the opposite of a
"Lipslide."
Bro - A fellow skater or friend.
Bust - 1. To bust a trick is perfectly executing a trick or successfully performing a trick that the skateboarder has been working very hard to land. 2. A spot that can no longer be skated, often due to a high likelihood of being kicked out.
Crazy Texan - A person that goes psycho on their board and throws it around a lot.
