Half-Pipe - A U-shaped type of ramp that is ridden as part of Vert skating.
Skaters drop in on one side and build up speed and air as they go from side
to side.
Hammer gloves - Gloves worn while skating to protect your hands.
Hard Flip - A difficult trick, such as a "Frontside" and "Pop
Shove-It" combined with a "Kickflip."
Heelflip - A "Kickflip" with the opposite trajectory; the foot hits the
board’s nose and flips over heelside first.
Heelside- The side of your board your heels face.
Homie - A fellow skater, typically male though not always. See also "Bro"
and "Dude."
Ill- Something that is very satisfactory. "Yo, bro; that dude's board
graphic is ill!" See also "Sick."
Kicker or Launch ramp - A small ramp designed for catching air. Skaters
usually just ride off them, ollie off them, or perform flip tricks off of
them.
Kickflip - In the air, a skater kicks the heel side of the board with the
ball of his or her foot to flip the board over at least once, and when
properly landed, landing on the wheel side and continuing to roll.
Kinked - A rail with bumps in it.
Knuckle Dragger - A person that always touches the ground or obstacle during
or after a trick.
